Last Week

Today, Sunday February 11th, we start the Mission Partners sermon series. Pastor Hobbs Jr. will open up with the first of five sermons.
At the Feb. 1st Blood Drive in which Zion, St. Mary's Catholic Church, and St. James Lutheran Church participated, there were 13 units of blood donated which potentially saved 39 lives.
The next blood drive will be May 24. at St. Mary's.
Last week Pastor James Puotyual and Dee Martin attended the Strengthening Families Program in Ames. The program was facilitated by the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. It is a 3 day training that provides skills to help parents and youth to resist the peer pressure that leads to risky behaviors.
Zion hosted a Life Line Screening event last week. Life Line Screening is a provider of Preventive Health Screening to detect early risk for cardiovascular and heart disease.

Help Stuffing Mail
Tomorrow, Monday 12th join us at 9:00am in the Fellowship Hall. We will be stuffing envelopes for the Iowa Prayer Breakfast.
Ash Wednesday
Wednesday, February 14th marks the beginning of Lent. Please join us at 12:00pm and at 7:00pm.

Trivia Night 
Zion's Fourth Annual Trivia Night Fundraiser is coming up! The event will be hosted at the the FFA Enrichment Center DMACC in Ankeny on Friday, February 16th from 6:30PM-9:00PM Trivia night is a great event for adults to come together and compete in team trivia and also enjoy food, drink, and a silent auction. 100% of the proceeds will go towards summer Bible camp scholarships for Zion STARS Academy students.
